Sumo’s Update

Brought Sumo home from the vet today… My Buddy is dying! His tumor has grown since his last vet visit back in December to a size of two baseballs. When you look at his right side it is, without a doubt, visibly noticeable.

Though he’s having difficulty with stairs, with a little coaching he manages them. As for getting up on the bed at night, I do have to help him … tell ya, lifting a 170lb., dog is no easy task. If I don’t he lays on the floor whining till I give in and help him up. Other than that, thankfully he is eating and drinking as he has for years … a good thing!, as well as continues to be his funny, crazy self. He’s such a good dog. John would have been proud at how he turned out … to bad he had to miss out being a part of his life here on earth. 

As to how long he will be with me only God knows, but needless to say my heart is broken. And it will take a great deal of strength when it comes time for me to say good-bye and put him to sleep … I do not want my boy to suffer!
