I've been hated. I've seen hatred. And this day I'm unable to fathom or feel hate towards another human being. Sadly, hate is rearing its ugly head and if left unchecked it will have an ugly outcome.

Here in America, nationalism is being portrayed in a way that if one doesn't act, believe or worship the way "Protestant America" believes one should, then you don't belong. And way too many are taking it upon themselves to ensure such an ideology becomes the norm. Even if it means murdering in the name of nationalism (a form of ethnic cleansing). This isn't just an American problem. It has spread throughout the world. Fascism, Nationalism, Nazism is bleeding into governments, and spilling over into society. From the top of government to homegrown terrorists and hate groups their fear and hate is a threat if not addressed and resolved will become a real threat to our democracy. Hate has no place in a civilized society let alone the world.

My point is this. Life is short. While our time on earth is short why not do good, stand up against injustice, and speak out against hate. If you don't the dark side wins. God instructs us to love and care for each other. This doesn't mean you have to like everyone but it does mean that we should respect one another. This is what makes America Great!
