If history hasn't taught us anything, discrimination leads to laws that hurt or kills ... i.e. the concentration camps, the Japanese internment, the Crusades, etc. And now here we are ... is history going to repeat itself? Particularly for gays and lesbians?

Right now it seems the writing is on the wall. Left-wing Christians are enacting laws that restrict and discriminate in the name of religious freedom which, if I understand it correctly, is unconstitutional.

The line between separation of church and state is narrowing on a daily basis. If this trend continues, then the misguided laws that are being enacted could go even further to include other groups in the name of God.

America is the land of the free and the brave. This idea has made our nation great and desirable. Those who are fleeing persecution, who are seeking a better life, long to come to our country because of the freedoms we enjoy and take for granted. So why are we allowing the left-wing element think that they have God's Authority to pass laws that divides us as a nation? Because what doesn't affect us doesn't hurt us. And this is a dangerous position.

I remember a time when society didn't agree with what the government we protested to bring change and it was effective. However, today many in our society have become passive and in a passive society tyranny rules.

It's time for all of us to grow a backbone, remove our tails from between our legs and stand up against the left-wing fraction of our government who promotes bigotry and discrimination. In these United States of America, we must continue to Let Freedom Ring. Otherwise, history will repeat itself.
