I’m sure many of you have seen on Facebook the t-shirt with a two questions written on it. One from a concerned citizen asking why is there violence in our schools, and the other is God answering saying he is not allowed in schools. And because of yesterdays murders there are voices calling for stronger gun controls.
I strongly disagree that because God has been removed from the schools contributed to innocence being slaughtered yesterday. This concept/idea is totally absurd! A while back a gunman killed innocent children in an Amish school ... was God not there then?
Whoever came up with this idea needs to rethink their stupidity, because I believe that God was in the CT class rooms when this horrible tragedy happened. And as each individual human being was being slaughtered, God was there with out stretched arms taking each of them home. In this world evil sometimes prevails. Why exactly I haven't a clue, but it's the way life is. We live in an evil world. And it's up to each of us to ensure that evil tragedies like yesterday doesn't happen again.
As for gun control, I strongly believe that gun control is not the answer.
With what gun controls we have in place we still have madmen killing. I cherish my 2nd amendment rights. Gun control will take this right away. On the other hand, "If you want to slow down violent crimes ... Arm and educate every American in self defense ... as that would make the average [killer] think twice before [attacking].*
If I was a gun owner and I had to choose between their life or mine, believe me, I would shoot first and ask questions later. As much as, in theory, gun control sounds like a positive thing, it is in fact in violation of my 2nd amendment rights … to protect myself from government, as well as from killers such as yesterday. Therefore, gun ownership isn't the problem, it's those who possess them, specially like the kid that decided to end innocence dead in their tracks.
