Hard to believe that a decade of life is coming to an end and a new one is about to unfold.
Yesterday, Jamie arrived safely ... it was SO good to see him. It's been about two months since we last saw each other. Nonetheless, after many discussions and tossing of ideas, then coming to the conclusion that it's time to mesh our lives solidly together, we are standing on the brink of a new journey which will begin this coming Friday when I will return to New Jersey with Jamie.
Meanwhile, the house is getting emptied ... yesterday my neighbors, who are opening a consignment store, came to pick up most of my furniture, etc. They will return Thursday for the rest. Today, we (Jamie and I) will sort through my clothing and kitchen to decide what will be going north. This evening we will have dinner with my best friend, George. And tomorrow I will return to work for my final two days ... Thursday will be my last day with Kmart.
With mixed emotions I am looking forward to a new life. I'm sad to be leaving both a memorable life and friends behind, but I am totally engaged in experiencing new beginnings and memories ahead. But honestly, I'm glad to be leaving South Carolina ... this move has been long in the making and has now come full circle.
Until Tomorrow ...
