Never again!

Without notice or indication as to his intent, my roommate, Mark, moved out while I was at work. Talk about a cowardly move! Then again, knowing his past and being warned as to his character, it really shouldn't come as a surprise. Nonetheless, it did cause it put me in a financial bind.

Honestly, I'm tired of being knocked down and walked on by those who claim they would never do such. And for this reason alone I will never again get seriously involved with someone until they have proven their worth (no, Mark and I were not seriously involved. Our interaction was strictly a business relationship.), or personally help out a stranger ... no matter how nice they may portray themselves to be. With this said, though I'm having to get over my disappointment and regroup, I'm relieved Mark is gone and here's why.

When it came time for Mark to help out financially ... like paying his share of the rent, all he would do is argue as to why he couldn't or shouldn't. And after several exchanges of why he couldn't or shouldn't I had an inkling that he would do exactly as he did ... move out. Why? Because I made it very clear to Mark that under no circumstances was I going to put up with his excuses any longer ... simply put, either pay or get out! If he can go away for a weekend in Charleston, go out drinking, etc., he can pay his rent. Therefore, I'm relieved he's gone and my kids and I have our home back to ourselves.

Unfortunately, Mark moved out still owing me.

Until Tomorrow ...

  1. Wow... Really? like really?.. Meh, honestly, I"m not surprised..He never had any intention of pulling his own weight and thats probably why he has the past he has.. It's kind of sad really but actually, you're so much better off.. I know it's a financial strain but he wasn't contributing anyway so you're really no worse off than before he was there..
