After hearing about the destruction Irene caused further up the coast, particularly in the upper northeast, I’m grateful that we were spared the hurricanes wrath since the area I live in is pron to flooding.

Today I spent the morning hours cleaning up what the rain and wind brought to my neighborhood and yard … mostly fallen branches and a shit load of pine cones and needles.
