Today was an interesting day.

First and foremost, emotionally, it was a stinger. Received a, for a lack of better words, “Dear John” letter from someone whom I care very much about. I surmise from their penned words that I failed them miserably … my friendship didn’t live up to an expected standard, thus I was no more a welcomed part of their lives. Talk about hurt! Yeah! Anyway, more later … I need to process this a bit.

Secondly, I got some bummer news. I was informed that our (my buddy and I) get-a-way plans after Christmas were washed out. I was so looking forward to he and I just getting away by ourselves … no business, job, friends, etc., just he and I, together, alone, enjoying each other’s company without all the demands of every day life here in the city. We haven’t done this in two years. Talk about feeling disappointed! Rats!
