Dec 21, 2010

Beginning around 1:30 am the first Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse since 1638 took place. The next will not occur till Dec 21, 2094, and will not be visible here in the America's. Most, if not all of us, will never see this particular celestial occurrence again.

If you missed actually seeing it, needless to say you missed a marvelous showcase of God's beautiful creation.

Unfortunately, I only took in the first half ... it was so cold outdoors (freezing to be exact ... 28 degrees), nonetheless I wouldn’t have missed this event and am glad to share the first half of the eclipse with you.

Foot Note: I found it interesting, but the constellation of Orion trailed the moon across the early morning sky. Orion happens to be my favorite constellation which I believe is the gateway to heaven.
