The countdown to 2011 is narrowing and soon the new year will be here.

This coming year is going to see some big changes in my personal life and here are a few of what’s going to change:

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS

2011 Motto ... Let It Be!

New Years Resolution #1: I’m not going to save time for someone who doesn't have time for me. The only person that is busier than anyone is God, yet he has time for us individually. Therefore, there’s no excuse for anyone to be that busy. If so … Let Them Be!

New Years Resolution #2: I’m only going to care for someone the way they care for me ... no more and no less. Life’s to short to care for someone who really doesn’t care for you … it’s a waist of time and energy. Therefore if they don’t care ... Let Them Be!

New Years Resolution #3: I’m only going to give love in the same measure it is given. Love is a two way street. If I don’t feel it ... Let Them Be!

New Years Resolution #4: I’m sick and tired of wanna be’s, user, fake, individuals who want to be in my life. And I still and will forever HATE the term “Friends With Benefits” … I am NO ONE’S benefit. Those who consider such a friendship can kiss my ass and go to hell. If they can’t be a genuine Friend ... Let Them Be!

New Years Resolution #5: If texting is the only means someone communicates with me I’m going to drop'em! Texting has its place, but isn't a substitution for communicating ... there ain't nothing better than a personal call, no matter when. If they don't know how to call then they must not think highly of me, therefore it would be wise to ... Let Them Be!

New Years Resolution #6: I’m getting to old for bullshit and those who enjoy spewing it about. I’m not stupid or that naive to smell bull crap a mile away. If someone isn’t a genuine individuals they will find no room in my life. Simply put … Let Them Be!

New Years Resolution #7: I’ve learned to think before I speak. However, I believe in being honest and to the point. Therefore, when it calls for, I am going to be straight forward and to the point with everyone, friend or foe, cause by not standing up for myself and what I believe in gets me no where. I’m no push over! If I’m perceived as a push over … Let Them Be!

New Years Resolution #8: Cheaters, Liars, and Users are not positive influences. If anyone, even amongst my Friends, fall in anyone of these categories, they will not find me in their life a minute longer … Let Them Be!

I don’t mean to sound so negative, but in the past four years I’ve leaned that Friendships are as fickle as Love. And because of this I’ve been hurt many times over. Well, I’m tired and exhausted from recuperating from lost so called Friendships.

I’m a good person … actually, I’m a damn good man! I accept everyone as they are … noting more, nothing less. But the revolving door will no longer endlessly rotate. I am no longer willing to compromise what I believe to be right just to have someone in my life … sadly, this has been my downfall and it’s time for me to change this aspect of my life. I can no longer have a part of my life be half-assed!

In order to be whole, as my sister so well pointed out, every aspect of your life must mirror the other if you want to be at peace with yourself and life around you. Therefore, 2011, it will be my resolution to become whole. If this endeavor is called into jeopardy, as my motto is, I’m going to ... Let It Be! From this pint forward, Friendships will be on my terms only.
