Being someone's "friend with benefits" is the most impersonal form of attachment one can have. The only reason you are in the other person’s life is for their own personal amusement or gratification (sexual amusement and gratification) ... nothing more! It is the most selfish form of “friendship” one can experience.
If all you are is someone's "benefit" you might as well be their prostitute and get paid for your time, cause in the long run you are nothing more than an insignificant object in their life disguised under the umbrella of “friendship”. Don’t fall or go along with it!
You are not put on this earth to be anyone's "benefit". To be characterized as such is degrading and an insult. If someone views you as such, send them a bill and move on … they aren’t worth having in your life. All they are doing is using you mentally and emotionally.
I know, because I’ve been in such a relationship and it is the most uncomfortable place to be. There is no attachment or commitment … you are simply there when they want you to be otherwise; like the saying goes, “out of sight, out of mind”, that is all you are … out of sight!
