Missing Link-Part I

Sometimes I wonder if where I am today is really where I want to be. Don’t get me wrong. I have a warm and cozy home where I hang my hat. I have my faithful pal, Sumo, who is my pride and joy … I love him dearly! I have a car that allows me to be mobile. I have a job which I enjoy … wish it would pay more, but at least I’m employed. With jobs being so scarce I am really lucky to have the job at all! And, last but not least, I have some really good Friends. I am absolutely grateful for all I have! However, I have to be totally honest. Though gratefully blessed I am there is one thing missing … companionship. I would give anything to walk in the door at the end of each day to open arms and a Friendly welcome home hug.

As most of you know (well all of you now know) I have my dog ... his name is Sumo. I have to admit that coming home to my him is an exciting experience. He is truly happy to see me. For about an hour we exchange words … yes, we talk to each other (LOL). Sumo tells me how his day went and how proud he was to stand guard while I was away. But it just ain't the same! There is nothing like coming home to someone you love with whom you can share your days experiences, enjoy a simple candle light dinner and a movie, and when it’s all done and said be able to curl up in each other’s arms and rest for the day ahead ... ain’t nothing like it and I miss this aspect of life tremendously.
