Yes, there are those who don’t celebrate Christmas simply because Christ wasn’t born on December 25th and that Christmas is a pagan ritual adopted by Christians.

Frankly, I don’t get it! After all, Christmas is the celebration of God sending His son to earth to bring us hope and salvation. Now why wouldn’t any Christian want to celebrate God’s gift to mankind?

Ok, we all know that Santa isn’t real and that Christ was not born on December 25th. However, is this a reason to not celebrate? I don’t think so!

As certain as we know that Santa isn’t real, we can with certainty know that Christ was born and it’s during this season we celebrate God’s gift to us, His son Jesus Christ.

Commercialism aside, Christmas is a vital part of my faith. Yes, just like everyone else, I get caught up in the commercialism of Christmas. On the other hand, I’m able to detach myself from its influence and for a season take the time to reflect and ponder the significance of Christmas in relationship to my existence here on earth and to the life hereafter. For if it wasn’t for Christmas morning, this life wouldn’t be worth the journey to the next.
