There is so much to be thankful for. But when braking it down to specifics, it’s the basics for which I am most thankful … such as:

Materialistically … I am thankful for my home. This is where life orchestrates itself. It’s where I begin and end my days. It’s where I hang my hat. It is the centerpiece of all that I am.

Emotionally … To know that at the end of the day there is one special someone that love’s me. Who accepts me. Who believes in me. Who has my back. And to reciprocate likewise … what an awesome journey.

Physically … To be in good health even though age has is slowly manifesting itself by letting me know that I ain’t no spring chicken and bordering on becoming an Autumn duck. But that’s ok. When I look around at men my age, comparatively I’m holding my own. Anyway, I’m just grateful to be in as good of health as I am.

Mentally … To be of sound mind.

Spiritually … To know that He loves and forgives me in spite of myself. And to have peace of mind in knowing that all is well with my soul ... I’ve been forgiven. It’s all in His hands!

Socially … Having some outstanding individuals and characters in my life. Between long-time friendships to new lasting friends, I am blessed. The impact each has had in my life can only be described as welcomed and I hope they make themselves at home … well, almost at home! Even acquaintances have enlightened me.

Economically … I would have to say that being employed during a time when employment is scares is the greatest gift for which I am humbled and very appreciative of. Yeah, hours a few and money is tight, but you adjust and keep working. At this time, a pay check is everything for survival.

Last but not least, my family. Wish we could be together for the holidays, but know that I’ll be there in spirit … no matter where I’ll be, I’ll be home for Christmas if only in my dreams.

Until Tomorrow ...
