Thankfully, the the mid-term elections are over. Have to say, this election season was the dirtiest I’ve followed. The mud slinging was just unbelievable and it’s amazing that anyone would want to vote. Nonetheless, America has spoken and now it’s time for the new house and senate to prove itself worthy of our vote.
My primary concern for this new term of electrics is, first and foremost, the economy. We have got to turn this economy around and get people back to work. My other concerns; Obamacare … I do not like this policy one bit and it needs to be overturned. Illegal immigration … we need to shore up our boarders and end the free for all by illegals accessing government subsidies like food stamps, health care, housing, etc. These subsidies should be for American Citizens ONLY. And last but not least, end world policing and bring our troops home to protect our country first and foremost. If these four issues of mine can be addressed and fixed then maybe I will take the time to seriously cast my vote in the next 2012 election. One things for sure, in 2012 I will gladly cast a no vote against Socialist Obama.
Okay, I did not vote in yesterdays election. Why? Cause I really don’t believe that any of our representatives has answers to resolving issues facing our country. As in elections past, voting between the lesser of two evils no longer settles well with me … I want to vote for those who can get the job done and thus far the job hasn’t been getting done, thus I am disillusioned and lack faith in our government.
Yes, we were promised change during this past election season, but like past elections I really don’t have much hope for the upcoming term which, I believe, will be a lame duck session and during which not much will get done unless our representatives sincerely goes about the peoples business rather their own personal pet peeves and personal interests. Only then will we (you who voted) see results and results is what this country lacks and so desperately needs. Enough with the business as usual atmosphere in Washington … it’s time to be about our business and nothing more.
To all of you who did vote … I’m satisfied with its outcome and I hope that those for whom you voted for will be worthy of your choice. Otherwise, the next election could be a political blood bath (not literally of course) cause there are thousands like me who are not happy with those representatives who take advantage of our vote and ignore those us who truly care about America. Anyway, to all of you who voted, thank you.
