Our Governor, Mark Sanford, goes AWOL!?! What’s up with this Governor?
Sanford has been AWOL for the past four days. First, NO ONE, including his family, knew his whereabouts. Then it was rumored that he was hiking the Appalachian Trail … WRONG! Now its come to light that he’s been down in Buenos Aires, Argentina … WHAT? For a public figure you’re telling me that NO ONE saw him or KNEW his whereabouts? Ok then! And this guy wants to run for U.S. President? Alrighty!
In a nutshell, Sanford has been battling lawmakers over how South Carolina should spend the federal stimulus money. Originally, he refused to take the money. Well, that didn’t work … South Carolina would have had to pay it back regardless, therefore lawmakers pushed the Governor to take the money. Then Sanford wanted to spend the money as he saw fit. Lawmakers had nothing to do with that either. Finally, lawsuits were filed and Sanford, LOST! Rightfully so! Anyway, Sanford claimed that he simply needed to get away to re-energize.
All I’m going to say is this. Sanford has his eye on the 2012 election for president. If past performance dictates future performance, should “President Sanford” loose a battle with either/both the House and Senate is he going to tuck his tail between his legs, run and hide? I don’t think I would want a President who lacks backbone if things don’t go his way.
I understand the stress associated with his job and everyone needs to get away to re-energize. But do it right! Don’t go AWOL, leaving us stranded. I mean, if I would do this my employer would have FIRED me and since you work for me, get a grip, get over it, move on like all of us do on a daily basis.
Governor Sanford, thank God this is your last year as South Carolina’s Governor. And as for voting for you in 2010? Most definitely, NOT! This little stunt of yours proves to me that if you can’t handle local defeats, God help us if you can’t handle national defeats. I’m just saying ...

What I don't get is that not even his family knew where he was? How ODD is THAT!?!? And now he wasn't hiking he was in Buenos Aries? I mean c'mon now, this sounds REALLY fishy.. Somethings going on.. And I wonder what and am REALLY curious as to what it is... Hmmm, things that make you go hmmmmmm.......(scratching head)
