While Steven took care of business I took the opportunity to go sightseeing, visiting/touring the capital grounds and the First Trinity Methodist Church/grave yard right across the street.
If you ever get the opportunity these two sites are worth your visit. The lush grounds, flower gardens, monuments and walkways allows you to take a small journey through South Carolina history while enjoying the typical southern style garden settings that surround the capital building.
