Winter/Spring?
Beginning at about 9 am text messages from the weather service landed in my in box. One was for a tornado warning. The others were on and off server thunder storm warnings. At the start of the day it was nice and warm … spring like. By midday it was hot … summer like. Then around 4 pm it began getting chilly. And now it’s cold. In 24 hours we went from spring back to winter … tonight we have frost warnings and tomorrow night freeze warnings. Frankly, I’ll take today’s weather cause in a few weeks we’ll head right into summer … heat, muggy, humid, and mosquitoes. Believe me, I’ll be praying for days like today.
My interview went well today. This will be my third in two weeks. The company is still undergoing restructuring and moving people around. At least I know I past my security and background check. Now all I’m waiting for is the go ahead to start working … God knows how I want to get back to work.
My buddy is out of town. Haven’t heard from him, but I’m sure he’s doing ok. He’s returning home tomorrow. Sure miss him!
Tonight I’m feeling sort of lonely. To help ease my loneliness I will snuggle up with a warm cup of brewed coffee and a slice of warm apple pie topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Course, Sumo will be right beside me watching every spoon full and frothing at the mouth for any leftovers. And Purlie, well, all she'll do is come and find a spot to curl up and go to sleep. She could care less about what I'm eating.
After partaking and letting Sumo have what’s left over I’ll watch some TV which will help put me to sleep. Yup, Sumo and me! Is this a recipe for curbing my loneliness or what? Wow! Oh well, it’s all good. Sumo will do just fine … LOL
