If I read the Sun News article “Sex-oriented business needs more limits” correctly, what the hell is our Attorney General Henry McMaster thinking? Posting the Ten Commandments in sex-oriented establishments? Give me a freaking break! He claims that by posting the Commandments it will “teach morality”. Yeah right! In a sex-oriented establishment? Yeah, ok!
These establishments could care less about morality. Shoot, I bet if McMaster could have his way he’d place the Gideon Bible next to the cash register. I tell you, this is the worst idea I’ve heard of to date and a totally stupid one at that. Don’t get me wrong. I have no problems with the Ten Commandments itself, but as to posting them in certain establishments, well, it’s down right sacrilege. Anyway, to read about this click here.
I want to follow up on yesterday’s posting about my five friends, Robyn, Lou, Georgie, Bob, and my bestist (yes it’s spelled incorrectly but it fits) buddy Steven.
Each of these extraordinary individuals have had my back and have given of themselves in ways I would have never imagined. If it wasn’t for these five true friends, I wouldn’t be posting this today. They have gone out of their way to make sure that I was able to survive in one way or another. I have truly been blessed! And from the bottom of my heart I thank each one for all that they have done. They have truly proven to me what true friendship is all about. Ok, enough mush … LOL.
I should have waited till today to work in my yard cause my back was hurting this morning … not bad, but it sure let me know that it was still tender. What really bothered me the most today was my shoulder ... OUCH! I don’t know, but I think it's time to get it checked. My friend, Bob, thinks that I may have a spur. I tell you what, it getting worse to the point where my arm tingles … it’s not a strong tingle, but the feeling is sure there. Anyway, instead of yard work today I spring cleaned my living room.
While cleaning today suddenly the air was filled with loud angry voices coming from my neighbor’s house. Curiously, I looked out my kitchen window and saw the boyfriend beating up his girlfriend. God it was horrible! So I picked up my phone and called 911. Even the operator could hear the struggle going on. It was that loud, nasty, and ugly.
Ever since they moved in it has been one fight after another. Morning, noon, or night, the fights go on and it’s coming to the point where I’m sick and tired of having to listen to it. I’ve talked to the landlord about it … course he can’t evict them for fighting. But there’s got to be something he can do? I’m going to talk to him tomorrow again because it’s getting out of hand. And living next door to them, I’m afraid that it’s going to get so violent that only god knows what could happen and I certainly don't want to get caught up in the cross fire.
After the police left they called to thank me for contacting them. The girlfriend told the officers that, yes, they did have a fight but it was nothing serious. And since the boyfriend had left there was nothing the police could do. However, they did ask that I call them should I hear another disturbance. Evidently, the boyfriend is on probation from California for domestic violence ... GREAT! I have a woman beater living next door to me ... Ain't that comforting or what?
Today was like a beautiful early summers day. By mid-afternoon the temperature was 80 degrees. Summer is on its way! God I dread the humid hot heat that’s just around the corner. Anyway, all in all it was a great day.
Until Tomorrow ...

ReplyDeleteI bet McMaster wants the Ten Commandments posted in sex-oriented establishments is so he can visit them to make sure the "law" is being enforced. You know how some of them Christian men are. They are some of the worst perverts in the world and will use God to cover their extra curricular activities.
