Stayed pretty immobilized throughout the day. If my lower back doesn’t improve by Monday, I will have no choice but to go to the emergency room. And as much as I don’t want, I may go ahead with having back surgery.

Three years ago, my neurosurgeon informed me that I should wait as long as possible to have the operation, but that eventually I will have no choice. Well, this might be the eventuality he and I talked about. The only problem is, who will be able to take care of my kids while I’m in the hospital and be able to help me once I’m discharged. The one person whom I thought would help unfortunately is one I know I can't depend on ... Friendships, more of a job than it's worth!* So I’m kind of in a quandary as to what to do other than pray that my back will heal.

Today H1N1 (Swine Flu) hit South Carolina. I sincerely hope that this flu is not the next pandemic. It was devastating enough that HIV was the last one. Since HIV I’ve been saying that we’ve not seen the last of a major worldwide outbreak and here we are. However, I really don’t feel that this is the one … the one is yet to come. Anyway, the best advice to protecting yourself is what everyone should do … cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing and WASH YOUR HANDS. And above all, be considerate of people around you by removing yourself from crowds if you are sick. Gifting (purposely transmitting a disease) is not socially acceptable.

Well, I’m off to put a heat pack on my back. Have to say that between 1 and 10, today was about an 8. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day.

Until Tomorrow ...

*ask if you don't understand what I'm referring to cause I'll be more than happy to explain. But if you ask be prepared for the truth cause I ain't going to be politically correct in my answer.
