Bravo Miss Pregean!Let me be perfectly clear! I do not believe in nor do I support same-sex marriage. On the other hand, I strongly believe that we (the government) should recognize and support domestic partnerships. And both unions should have the same rights and entitlements as the other.
As for the controversy over Miss. California, Carrie Prejean, answer to the same-sex marriage question, if you listen to her answer, she really didn’t answer the question. She sidestepped it and this simple detour may have been the point that caused her to come in runner up. Nonetheless, as for her answer, bravo! If Miss. Pregean doesn’t agree with same-sex marriage, folks, it’s really ok … it’s what she believes.
This whole issue magnifies the fact that, once again, political correctness has gone amuck. This is America! And you and I are allowed to believe and voice those beliefs freely … at least its what I was taught! It doesn’t mean you have to agree with everything! But my goodness, just because we don’t agree, do we have to crucify someone? I tell you one thing, if Jesus was here on earth today, the politically correct will surely crucify him, just like they are Miss. Prejean. It’s time to calm down and retract our claws.
Here’s a snippet on the winner, Miss. North Carolina. Congratulations to our new Miss America, Kristen Dalton.
“LAS VEGAS – Miss North Carolina USA Kristen Dalton was crowned Miss USA 2009 on Sunday, beating out 50 other beauty queens in the live pageant televised from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.”
“The 22-year-old aspiring motivational speaker and entertainer from Wilmington edged out first runner-up Miss California USA Carrie Prejean, of San Diego, and second runner-up Miss Arizona USA Alicia-Monique Blanco, of Phoenix.” –Yahoo News
As for my day, it was wonderful. My buddy and I hung out … it was great to see him. He’s been busy! Anyway, we took care of some errands, had dinner, chatted, and now it’s American Idol.
Ok, like I predicted yesterday, Lil … bottom three!
OMG! When you can remember the songs that were hits in the 60’s, you’re getting old. I’m not talking about me. It’s you I be talking about … LOL. God, those were the days! Cleveland, Ohio. High School. First love. Back to the show.
Now Danny was a surprise! I figured him to be in the bottom three.
Anoot … bottom three as predicted. Allison, another surprise.
I predict that Allison will be safe … it will Anoot and Lil going home. Fingers crossed!
The second to go? … Anoot!
I predict Danny will go home next week.
Well, tomorrow I’ll know the outcome of my interview. I can only hope!
Until Tomorrow ...
